Huntington Beach, CA September 19, 2004 — Nortek Automation announces the launch of their newest packaging line for electronics manufacturing. “Our new packaging line is the simplest, quickest, and most reliable way to a finished retail package ready for store shelves” says Patrick Sean, Vice President, Marketing. “Kingston Technology Company, a large, global PC card manufacturer, had our complete line operational the first day of installation, and in full production the second day.” According to Jeff McKenney, Vice President, Engineering, the new Nortek line is ideal for packaging Digital Media products such as Secure Digital (SD), Compact Flash (CF), Multi Media Cards (MMC), USB Flash Drive, DDR Memory Modules, and other products. The Nortek packaging line constructs a manufacturer’s retail carton, inserts a pre-packaged electronic circuit board, seals the carton, prints/applies labels to the vertical and horizontal carton surface, adheres a hang tab for retail display, and stacks the cartons. The labels feature print-on-demand information such as product data, customer data and/or logo, serial numbers, bar codes, 2D, date, batch, and manufacturer/location codes. Traceability software ensures that the carton labels match the product inside.
