Tile has a number of practical uses in designing a home. While ceramic tiles have long been connected with the floorings and walls of bathrooms, kitchen counters have also been tiled and is now rapidly becoming a common sight these days. These types of tiles have been associated with the moist areas in a home, and typically we like these places tiled.

These days, more and more people are beginning to realize the value of having the floors in a home tiled. When it’s done right, tiled floor can give a home a sophisticated sort of look that is the same as other pricier types of flooring. It is also a material that has been known to withstand the test of time; there are a few Roman and Greek buildings whose tiled floors have been mostly unharmed even with all the years of neglect.
