September 23, 2004 — Singapore Post and CBL Data Recovery Technologies Pte Ltd., a leading international provider of computer data recovery services today announce the launch of the Fast Track Data Recovery Service – the first of its kind service that puts expert data recovery within easy reach of anyone who wishes to recover data from damaged equipment such as hard disk drives, servers, removable media, tape cartridges and flash memory. The drop-off-and-pick-up data recovery service enables customers with the convenient option of dropping off the affected data storage media at any of the seven selected Post Offices spanning the island.

SingPost will deliver the customers’ equipment packaged in special anti-static and anti-shock boxes to CBL’s expert data recovery engineers at its state-of-the-art laboratory at The Signature, Changi Business Park. From 21 September 2004, the service will be available at the following seven selected Post Offices for a start: Change Alley, Kent Ridge, Killiney Road, Singapore Post Centre, Tampines Central, Toa Payoh Central and Woodlands Central. The service may be eventually extended to the rest of the Post Offices across the island.
