If you find you have some sluggish times at your coffee shop in the afternoons during the week or even the weekend you can change that. Consider hosting tea parties there and you will pickup more business. Many adults will come in to gather and visit with each other. You will find young girls that aren’t old enough for school yet can join in during the week as well.

The idea of a tea party is very simple and it won’t take much to transform your coffee shop to host one a few afternoons a week. Try to schedule a weekday for those that are available. However, many children that would love to go to a tea party are in school and many parents work. If you can get a Saturday or Sunday afternoon tea party that would work well too.

You can make these tea parties as elaborate or as simple as you want them to be. The focus needs to be on offering girls, moms, daughters, and even fathers who want to spend a few hours with their little girl a nice experience. Make sure you advertise for our tea parties so people can make plans to attend. Let them know if it is will be casual dress as well.

Think about what your guests to tea parties would be interested in having. You can offer several great flavors of tea for them to try out. You can also choose to offer tea sandwiches and delicate desserts. These sandwiches and desserts should be sample sized portions. Adding these items is likely to get you more business for your tea parties as they will get the entire package for one price.

You need to keep a good record of the people that do call to make a reservation for your tea parties though. Never schedule more people than you have room for. This isn’t fair to them and it won’t benefit your business in the long run. Failure to write down the names of people is never good either so make sure everyone that could be answering the phone knows the right procedure to follow.

You may want to consider having some entertainment for the tea parties as well. This can liven things up and give those that come back regularly something new to look forward to. It doesn’t have to be anything elaborate or expensive in order to be a great hit. At the vary least offer some music that goes well with a tea party.

Make sure your staff understands how important these types of gatherings are for those that attend. That way they will be sure to do all they can to keep them happy. You may need to have additional staff on hand during these tea parties depending on how large of an event they become.

If you haven’t considered using your coffee shop for hosting tea parties you may want to give it a try. It isn’t going to be difficult to get into motion and they should get a very nice crowd drawn in. Many of these adults may not have come to your coffee shop before. There is a very good chance they will start coming in on a regular basis as well as for future tea parties.
