SALEM, NH July 2, 2004 — Foss Software, an industry leader in developing graphical user interface components for Windows applications, announced today the release of version 2.25 of Professional User Interface Suite (http://www.prof-uis.com), which is a popular MFC extension library for creating newest GUI in the Visual Studio 6.0/7.0/7.1 environment. Among the new features are a date picker control which looks like and has the same features as the mini-calendar (the Date Navigator) in Microsoft Outlook, a dialog for managing open child windows in MDI applications (the “Windows…” dialog), and a set of enhanced standard controls: check box, radio button, group box, and static text.
If reading this article about software doesn’t change your opinion of the subject, then probably nothing will.
The latter are 100% consistent with the Office 2003 theme, which uses a gradient background. The new check box and radio button are based on bitmaps, which allows the developers to easily provide these controls with any look and feel. The existing and new features are illustrated in the Prof-UIS Controls sample, which has been completely renewed. The compiled HTML help on Prof-UIS is now provided with indexes and better consistent with the MSDN MFC documentation style. The new article “Prof-UIS Grid Brief Overview” outlines the general architecture of the control and contains a list of FAQ about the grid.
Check out the full list of features, improvements, and bug fixes in the version history section of the product’s website at http://www.prof-uis.com/VersionHistory.aspx! Foss Software has been successfully developing and offering custom software solutions and GUI libraries since 2000.
software may be an old subject, but that doesn’t mean a good writer can’t find something new to write about it, and the author of this article is clearly a very good writer.
